Lettuce MAZHOR

Early-ripening variety of half-head lettuce with juicy, crispy leaves 


Mazhor - Early-ripening variety, the period from sprouting to harvesting is 40-45 days. Variety Mazhor is half-head, high-yielding, cold and bolting tolerant crop. It forms round-shaped heads in the weight of 200-350 g. Round-shaped leaves have bright green colour with a red border. It has high marketability and storage qualities. It should be sown as early as possible with interval of 7-10 days to have products longer. It is recommended to sow lettuce by using the next scheme 25-35 x 25-35 cm with sowing space 45-60 cm. Seed application rate is 1,5-2 kg/ha. After forming 4-5 leaves, lettuce should be thinning at the distance of 15-20 cm. Regular irrigation and bursting is recommended, especially in the period of head's forming. Irrigation should be in the first half of day as leaves need to be dry till evening. The harvest starts after head forming in diameter at least 5-6 cm. It is suitable for fresh consuming. It is rich in vitamins. An average yield is 30-40 t/ha.
