Chelesta - Mid-ripening, high-yielding root variety. The period from sprouting to industrial ripeness is 80-90 days. Strong, branching leaf rosette. Dark-green, vernicose leaves with a long stalk that is perfect for bunching. Conical-shaped pointed roots, they are smooth, big without side roots, weight 50-80 g and in the length of 18-25 cm. The flesh is white with excellent eating qualities. Variety is ideal for winter storage. It is suitable for fresh consuming or storage. There are several sowing periods, first early( spring, the end of April-the beginning of May), under-winter sowing (October-November), in the middle of the summer (in the end of June). For under-winter sowing dry seeds are used.
