Excellent marketability and eating qualities, high-yielding and excellent storage qualities

Faraon - Mid-ripening variety of white onion. Vegetational period is 110-120 days. Commercial bulbs are grown in one year. Dark-green leaves with a wax bloom. Round-shaped large bulbs weight 160-220 g. External skin is ideal white and internal is white, thin, juicy. This variety is characterized by hot taste, it is all-purpose and suitable for drying. The yield of white onion Faraon is 60-70 t/ha. It is suitable for long storage (to 6 month). We recommend to grow early-ripening onion Faraon in all regions through sowing or seedling. Planting rate is 4-5 kg/ha. Plant population should be 0,8 -1,2 ml/ha. To receive bigger bulbs use thinning sowing 0,6-0,8 million plants per hectare. It is recommended to grow with 30-45 cm gutter sowing ( distance between plants is 2,5-4,0 cm or 8,0-12,0 cm depending what bulb size do you want to get). With drop irrigation we recommend to use 8-6 gutter sowing (distance between rows are 27 cm).The process of mechanical work, harvesting in the field, and onion dying are easier if the distance between plants is equal. Pay attention to irrigation, as onion likes watered soil. The biggest amount of water is needed in the period of bulb formation. The yield of white onion Faraon is 50-80 t/ha (harvesting should be started after 80-90 lodging of the leaves).
