Black radish DUENIA

Excellent marketability and eating qualities, high storage quality


Duenia - Mid-ripening variety of black radish. The period from sprouting to harvesting is 60-75 days. Big radish-root weight 200-450 g, it is smooth and has round shape. External colour is black, the flesh is white, firm, juicy with a sweetish-flavor taste. This variety is cold-tolerant and likes irrigation. It is characterized by simultaneous root formation and high yield ( 40-50 t/ha). It is suitable for fresh consumption in autumn-winter period. It has excellent storage qualities. Black radish prefers light hearty soils. The best time for sowing is the end of the June. Seeds are sown in a furrows on the distance of 35-40 cm and in the depth of 1-2 cm. Sprouted plants should be thinning out on the distance of 10 cm. The next steps in handling of plants includes regular irrigation and bursting.
